This Friday, Jan. 7, The Common hosts another gig, this one merging art from 13 different artists (including Jay Howell , one of my favorites) with a performance of spaced-out Krautrock from two great local acts, Jonas Reinhardt and Maus Haus .
Unknown exotic instruments punctuate the sonic boundaries, while the distant and thunderous rhythm section pulses deep into the cranium. And all the time, seering guitar mung informed by oodles of antron-sized reverb irrigates the middle distance.
Anaphylactic Booking was founded by Ulrika Andersson and Marcella Gries in May 2008, mainly as a way to provide live music to an all-ages audience, and to stage live performances in a non-bar environment. Our philosophy is based on the idea that music is art and should be treated as such. For this reason we have chosen to book our shows primarily in galleries, and to focus our efforts on consistent live acts of the highest quality.
